To become a Road Patrol Deputy, you can follow several different career paths that best fit you and your goals.  You can:

Duties of a Patrol Deputy include:

  • Taking report calls in assigned work locations
  • Enforcing Motor Vehicle Code in Oakland County's roads and freeways
  • Performing preliminary investigations of reported law violations
  • Preparing detailed reports
  • Testifying in court
  • Engaging and building lasting relationships within our communities
